If you're receiving an incompatible database error when attempting to log in to SIMS, your SIMS requires an update. To do so, please see the following instructions:

  • In the bottom right corner of your screen, click the upwards pointing arrow. This will open a small box with a number of icons - you need to double click the icon which is a blue icon with a person (as pictured).
    • If you do not have this icon, it's possible there may an issue with your updater or SIMS itself on your laptop - if this is the case, please come see us down in our office or let us know via a ticket.

  • A new window should open up called “Solus 3 Agent Notifier”. (It may open as a minimised window, so check your taskbar if you don’t see the box.)
  • Once opened, switch to the Applications tab and then select Check for Update. The application should then ask you if you want to download the newest version - press yes, and your SIMS will start the update process.

Please note that this update can only be done when on the school site and cannot be done from home, and that you need to stay connected to the internet so the update can perform correctly. This update will typically take up to 10 minutes, and will tell you when it’s complete.
